Right after Christmas 2016, we brought our new American Guinea Hogs to the farm. We chose American Guinea Hogs because their history fascinated us and their breed characteristics made them perfect for our farm. They are a rare breed that is unique to North America. They make an excellent homestead pig, and are able to forage for much of their diet; which includes snakes, nuts, rodents, grass and roots.
We look forward to breeding George and Martha in the wintertime!
